My Haiku

Today, I’m going to try to write a haiku (or two).

Today’s Assignment: publish a post for your dream reader, and include a new-to-you element in it.

So, my Dream Readers, I welcome your comments, feedback, critiques! TIA!

I miss us touching,
Laughing, joking, just being;
Until tomorrow.

Water covers sand
As it creeps up toward land.
Don’t dare turn your back.

  1. Excellent haiku
    My favorite is the first
    I like line two best

    My daughter used to be obsessed with haiku. She started a ‘haiku revolution’ at her school by posting them everywhere on sticky notes and encouraging others to do the same. She also only spoke in haiku for a while which was funny and annoying.

    1. That’s really neat! I love haiku – sometimes I write them without even realizing it. Apparently I’ve written so many that my thoughts have taken on a 5-7-5 structure. 🙂

      1. I’ve done serial haiku quite often, where I have five or six stanzas but each stanza is in the 5-7-5 form. It’s sometimes easier than trying to cram everything into three short lines. 🙂
